Description
Same idea as the universal bottle top tripod (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:33940) except it uses SAE hardware. 1/4 inch carriage bolts and nuts and no gluing of parts.
Bottom pivot may receive a minor update when I find the time.
Printing Instructions
Print one of each with the thumb covers being optional (you can substitute wing nuts if you like.).
You will need a 1/4 inch carriage bolt @ 1.5″ in length another 1/4 inch carriage bolt @ 4″+ depending on the size of your device. (iPhone 5 in landscape uses the 4″ as a benchmark, I’ve found sizes up to 7 inches.) 3-4 nuts that work with the bolts and some short screws (drill 2 pilot holes into the bottom pivot and cap, and use screws to attach it to the bottle cap.) The pictures explain the rest of the assembly.
Printer settings 0.25 per layer with PLA on an Afinia h479.
